This page will serve as a blog of sorts to showcase some of my personal projects using Unreal Engine.

Mars Exploration/Base Building Game.

Just testing out various game ideas. Placing sentries with directionality. Controlling placed sentries or having them auto-detect enemies. Placing spline points that create tracks. These tracks could be used to transport resources to and from the base. Tested the idea of riding the track. Could also be used as a way to transport the player.

Physics-Based Flying Game

The basic idea was to have a flying game where the main mechanic is that you have a finite amount of gas meaning that you would have to decide when you increase throttle or when you just turn off the engine and coast.

This first video was to test if the plane could actually land. Having the player change from flying physics to driving physics was the main challenge here.

Upgrades to the plane model.

At this point I started to play around with cutscenes and figuring out how to trigger them. This video also shows the mechanics of the landing gear.

Space Exploration Game

The idea of this game was to keep it relatively simple for mobile development. Basically, you set out to explore the vastness of space, finding resources and new planets as you do. You would then use the resources to upgrade your ship and main base, allowing you to explore more and upgrade more.
